The right water tailored to your water needs

Water enables hydration and hygiene & allows us to grow food, create energy, build infrastructure, and manufacture all kinds of goods. Having the right quantity at the right quality is essential.

Hillsbridge is commited to integrate efficient water management & water treatment systems tailored to your needs.

Water quality impacts the quantity of useable water

The quality of the water you consume or use in municipal or industrial processes must meet specific parameters. Water quality parameters matter because of the different requirements that applications can haveWater that cannot be used for drinking, bathing, industry or agriculture effectively reduces the amount of useable water.

There are times when water must be treated to ensure that the quality is at an acceptable level for its designated use. Hillsbridge evaluates and designs a water treatment process tailored to your needs.

There is no one size fits all. We understand water and link water qualities to your specific water needs.

There are three water quality parameters that help to measure the quality of water, which include physical parameters, chemical parameters, and biological parameters.

  • Physical parameters include color, taste, odor, temperature, turbidity, solids, and electrical conductivity.
  • Chemical parameters can include pH, acidity, alkalinity, chlorine, hardness, dissolved oxygen, and biological oxygen demand.
  • Biological parameters include bacteria, algae, and viruses.

For instance, dissolved oxygen is among the most important parameters when measuring a river’s water quality. The amount of dissolved oxygen in the water dictates how polluted the water sample is. Low amounts of dissolved oxygen indicate that the water is highly polluted and that organic contaminants are consuming the dissolved oxygen.

Why can't we just make water?

Water is made of 2 hydrogen atoms attached to 1 oxygen atom. This seems like pretty basic chemistry, so why don’t we just combine them together and solve the world’s water problems?

Theoretically, this is possible, but it would be an extremely dangerous process.

  • Mixing hydrogen & oxygen together doesn’t help! The orbits of each atom’s electrons must become linked, and to do that we must have a sudden burst of energy.
  • Since hydrogen is extremely flammable and oxygen supports combustion, it wouldn’t take much to create this force.  All we need is a spark –  and boom! we have water....but...
  • But we also have an explosion. To create enough drinking water to sustain the global population, a very dangerous and incredibly large-scale process would be required.

Water has become a focus, globally. Concerns about water scarcity and quality are on the rise. A more circular and therefore more sustainable economy requires valuing wastewater for its potential, rather than discarding or ignoring it.

More than just an alternative source of water, safe wastewater management could help protect our ecosystems and give us clean water, energy, nutrients and other recoverable materials.
